In general, you do not have to use an approved windscreen repairer. However, if you do not use an approved repairer, the insurance company may not pay the full cost of the repair or the replacement.

Will a claim for broken glass affect my No Claims Bonus?

Your car insurance No Claims Bonus will not be affected.

Is there a limit on the number of times I can claim?

Yes, insurance companies will generally limit the number of claims to 2 for the duration of your motor insurance policy in any one period.

Do I pay an excess amount in the event of a claim?

If you need to get the window replaced, there may be an excess amount you must contribute towards the new window. Full details will be outlined on your policy schedule.

Does the insurance cover all windows in the vehicle?
